Depok, Kamis
Fakultas Teknik UI bisa berperan dalam menyambut era digitalisasi ketenagalistrikan. Misalnya, dengan mengadakan riset bersama yang didanai oleh industri. Juga dalam pemecahan masalah (problem solving) yang dihadapi oleh industri, dengan melibatkan mahasiswa pascasarjana FTUI.
Demikian dinyatakan Dekan Fakultas Teknik UI, Dr. Ir. Hendri DS Budiono, M.Eng, IPM., dalam sambutannya di pembukaan Seminar Nasional V GATRIK UI. Tema seminar itu adalah “Menyongsong Era Digitalisasi Ketenagalistrikan untuk Mewujudkan Penyediaan Tenaga Listrik yang Efisien, Andal, Berkeadilan dan Berkelanjutan.”
Acara itu berlangsung pada Kamis (8/2/2018) di Departemen Teknik Elektro (DTE), Kampus UI Depok. Seminar diselenggarakan oleh Keluarga Alumni Teknik Tenaga Listrik DTE-FTUI (Kagatrik UI), bekerjasama dengan EPES (Electrical Power & Energy Studies) UI dan DTE-FTUI. Juga didukung oleh Ikatan Mahasiswa Elektro FTUI, khususnya Panitia National Electrical Summit (NEST).
Hendri yang insinyur teknik mesin ini menjelaskan, selain di bidang penelitian, FTUI juga bisa berperan di bidang pengabdian masyarakat. Seperti: Hilirisasi produk inovasi hasil riset; produk tepat guna bagi masyarakat; konsultasi berdasarkan kepakaran para peneliti FTUI; dan diseminasi hasil-hasil inovasi dosen FTUI melalui seminar ataupun workshop.
Di bidang pendidikan, bisa diadakan program pendidikan profesi, bekerja sama dengan PII (Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia). Lalu, didirikannya program studi magister multi dan interdisiplin bidang energi, termasuk bidang ketenagalistrikan, yang melibatkan seluruh departemen di FTUI. FTUI juga bisa merancang kurikulum yang sejalan dengan kebutuhan industri ketenagalistrikan. Serta, mengadakan program magang bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir di industri.
Digitalisasi ketenagalistrikan, yang menjadi tema seminar ini, sangat penting dan saat ini sudah menjadi keniscayaan. Digitalisasi ketenagalistrikan ini mengubah secara fundamental bisnis penyediaan tenaga listrik. Teknologi digital mengubah pola pikir insinyur tenaga listrik, dari paradigma tradisional ke paradigma modern.
Seminar ini melibatkan pihak regulator, penyelenggara ketenagalistrikan nasional PT. PLN (Persero), penyelenggara jaringan telekomunikasi, industri terkait, akademisi (dosen dan mahasiswa), para pengamat, dan masyarakat peminat digitalisasi ketenagalistrikan.
Dari seminar ini diharapkan terjadi pertemuan (sinkronisasi) pemikiran dari para pemangku kepentingan ketenagalistrikan, sehingga didapat suatu titik temu dan pemetaan tentang kondisi terkini. Dibahas juga, rencana pengembangan dan antisipasi dari para pemangku kepentingan dalam kaitan digitalisasi ketenagalistrikan. Seminar ini diharapkan bisa memberi masukan dan umpan balik terhadap roadmap dan kebijakan digitalisasi ketenagalistrikan. ***
